The SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) brings together the strengths of leading French Grandes Ecoles (Ecole Polytechnique, Mines ParisTech, Telecom Paris, ENSTA Paris) and of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to develop Sino-French research and innovation collaboration and to educate high-potential Chinese and international students to become industrial leaders and innovators. The engineering cycle of SPEIT combines common core courses, elective scientific and technical courses in 3 different majors (Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering and Information Engineering) which help interdisciplinary integration studies in direction of digital nuclear power, intelligent manufacturing, new energy, digital twin etc.
SPEIT has in total 73 Chinese and Foreign faculty members, of which the foreign professors account for 40 % and more than 6000 students. The year 2024 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, as the flagship project of Sino-French higher education cooperation, SPEIT warmly welcomes you to join us !

Positions and Requirements
1. Positions in Preliminary Tenure-track
Requirements:
1) Assistant Professor : Applicants should have a doctorate degree in universities or research institutions; Applicants shall had a good scientific research potential and outstanding innovation ability; Applicants who had study and work experience in France is preferred.
2) Associate Professor : Applicants should have a doctorate degree in universities or research institutions more than 3 years; Applicants shall have formal teaching or research experience in university, college or scientific research institute; Applicants who had study and work experience in France is preferred.
2. Overseas excellent youth projects
Requirements:
1) Adhere to the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, have good scientific ethics, have clear property rights for scientific research or technology achievements, and consciously practice the spirit of scientists in the new era;
2) The age should not exceed 40 years old (born after January 1, 1984)
3) After obtaining a doctoral degree, one should generally obtain formal teaching or research positions in overseas universities, research institutions, or enterprise research and development institutions before the application deadline, and have at least 36 consecutive months of work experience; For those who have obtained a doctoral degree overseas and have outstanding performance, the requirements for work experience may be appropriately relaxed;
4) Achieve scientific research or technological achievements recognized by peer experts, and have the potential to become academic leaders or leading talents in the field of development;
5) The applicant has not yet returned to work in China full-time, or returned to work in China after January 1, 2023; After receiving the funding notice, one must resign from overseas work or have no job overseas, and work full-time in China for no less than 3 years.
6) Limitations: Implement the requirements of the relevant departments of the Central Government on the integration of national scientific and technological talent programmes. Applicants can only apply for one national science and technology talent programme of the same level. Applicants who have already applied for any other national scientific and technological talent programmes cannot apply for projects of the same or lower levels.

Remuneration:
We offer a competitive remuneration package including basic salary and housing allowance and other reward performance.
Research support:
Sufficient start-up funds for scientific research; Give office or laboratory room support; 1 doctoral student target in the first 2 years of employment, 3 master’s students target per year.
Other support:
Shanghai Hukou, enjoying good medical and education resource;
For applicants with outstanding performance, the remuneration can be discussed.
