Founded in 2012, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Paris Excellence Engineering Institute is a joint venture between Shanghai Jiao Tong University and four top engineering schools in France (Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines ParisTech, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Technologies, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Technologies, and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Telecommunications). For more than ten years, the college has carried out close cooperation and exchanges with France partner schools in teaching, scientific research, student exchanges, and industrial incubation.
The college has three majors: mechanical engineering, energy and power engineering, and information engineering, relying on France engineer education with a strong mathematical foundation to carry out innovative research with multidisciplinary integration.
The college has a total of 73 Chinese and foreign faculty members, of which 40% are foreign teachers. There are more than 600 students enrolled, all of whom are high-quality students from Shanghai Jiaotong University. 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, and as a flagship project of Sino-French higher education cooperation, the School warmly welcomes talents from all over the world to join us and seek common development!

Tenured associate professor: generally obtained a doctoral degree should be completed for 3 years, engaged in research work in related fields and achieved good academic results, showing strong academic ability and good career development prospects, and those with study or work experience in France are preferred.

Assistant Professor: Have a doctorate, have the ability to carry out academic research independently, show good scientific literacy and academic development potential, and have study or work experience in France is preferred.

After obtaining a doctorate degree and before April 15, 2024, you should generally obtain a formal teaching or scientific research position in an overseas university, scientific research institution, or enterprise R&D institution, and have more than 36 consecutive months of work experience; For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have particularly outstanding performance, the requirements for working years can be appropriately relaxed.

Achievements in scientific research or technology recognized by peer experts, and have the potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents in the field.

The applicant has not returned to China to work full-time, or has returned to China to work after January 1, 2023. After receiving the subsidy notice, the applicant must resign from overseas employment and return to China full-time (to China) for not less than 3 years.

Limit requirements: Implement the relevant requirements of the national science and technology talent plan for overall planning. The National Science and Technology Talent Program at the same level can only undertake one item, and cannot be applied for at the reverse level.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University Paris School of Excellence for Engineers
In 2023, the new laboratory building of the college will be completed and put into use, with a total construction area of 4,230 square meters.
Sino-French Building
At the end of 2024, the construction of the new Sino-French building will be started, with a total construction area of 7,500 square meters, which will further consolidate the software and hardware teaching foundation of the college and enhance the construction of scientific research platform.
