French Speech Contest ③ | Final Topics Announced

Since the launch of the second National French Speech Contest "Excellence Cup" for university and high school students, we have received 109 entries from 109 participants representing over 40 universities and foreign language high schools across the country. After two rounds of competition involving expert review and online voting, 15 university contestants and 5 high school contestants have emerged and advanced to the finals!

The schedule, rules, and topics

for the finals

are as follows:

 

 

 

 

Schedule:

⏰ Finals date: May 25, 2024

 

📍 Finals venue: Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Minhang Campus), 800  Dongchuan Road, Minhang District, Shanghai

 

       Finals schedule: May 24: Participant registration and check-in

                              May 25 morning: Semi-finals, afternoon: Finals

 

 

Rules

 

  1. In the semi-finals, each contestant in both the university and high school categories must complete a 3-minute prepared speech and a Q&A session with the judges. Based on the judges' scores, 3 high school contestants and 10 university contestants will advance to the grand finals.

  2. In the grand finals, high school contestants must sequentially complete a 3-minute prepared speech and a 2-minute impromptu speech, with topics drawn randomly on-site. University contestants must complete a 3-minute prepared speech and engage in a duel-style Q&A session.

For the semi-finals and finals, contestants need to prepare PPT or video aids in advance and submit them to the competition committee within the specified time.
