From July 4th to 5th, the "Looking at the Stars in the North, Gathering Dreams in Beijing" employment guidance practice group of the Paris School of Excellence Engineers of Shanghai Jiao Tong University went to Beijing to carry out a social practice focusing on the aerospace industry. The practice group consisted of 11 senior undergraduate and master's students, led by Zhang Wenming, the Chinese dean, and Yao Xue, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, with the participation of Ding Jie of the Office of Student Affairs and Meng Fanjuan of the Office of Scientific Research and Platform.

The practice destinations are three aerospace units of different styles and types, namely the Fifth Academy of Aerospace, Airbus China, and AVIC Complete. Through on-site visits to the three companies, the students learned the spirit of aerospace, understood the market demand, and explored the path of future career development. During the period, the teachers and students of the practice group also met with alumni in Beijing.

The Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology (CASA), the full name of "China Academy of Space Technology", affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), was established on February 20, 1968, and its first president was Qian Xuesen, a famous scientist and outstanding alumnus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. After more than 50 years of development, the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology has become China's main space technology and product research and development base, and is the most powerful backbone force in China's space industry.

On the morning of the 4th, the practice group went to the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology for exchange and study. Researcher Li Xiao, Director of the Overall Design Department of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace, Researcher Cheng Zhizhong, Secretary of the General Party Branch, and Cao Anbo, Engineer of the General Design Department of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology and alumnus of the School of 2020, received the practice group.

The practice group visited the exhibition hall of the Fifth Academy of Astronautics. Entering the exhibition hall, the first thing that catches your eye is General Secretary Xi Jinping's words on "exploring the vast universe, developing the aerospace industry, and building a aerospace power are the aviation dreams we unremittingly pursue". The exhibits and texts in the exhibition hall led the students to review the leapfrog development process of China's aerospace industry, and the students of the practice group deeply felt the solid style and profound heritage of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace.

During the visit, researcher Li Xiao and researcher Cheng Zhizhong introduced the scientific research and development direction of the Fifth Academy of Astronautics; Alumni Cao Anbo introduced the design and manufacturing process of spacecraft to the students, and the students connected the knowledge learned in the classroom with industrial applications.

President Zhang Wenming mentioned that the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology has completed major space missions such as the manned space project, the lunar exploration project, and the Beidou project, and has made outstanding contributions to the leapfrog development of China's aerospace industry. At the same time, the territory of international cooperation has been continuously expanded, and it has established good cooperative relations with aerospace companies and space research institutions in more than 100 countries and regions. It is hoped that in the future, the two sides will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, establish a school-enterprise bridge, and let more Chinese and French students of Shanghai Jiaotong University go to the platform of the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology to exercise and study, and help build a powerful aerospace country.

On the afternoon of the 4th, the practice group came to Airbus China in Shunyi District. Ning Fei, Vice President of Airbus Human Resources and Workplace China, Zhang Xiazhu, Director of Chinese Talent Development, Transformation and Digitalization, and Tong Mengyao, Head of Airbus Leadership University China Campus, received the practice group.

Under the leadership of Vice President Ning Fei and Director Zhang Xiazhu, the practice group visited the flight simulator and the enterprise exhibition hall, and experienced the flight simulation operation first-hand, and the students were very excited. In the subsequent discussion and exchange, Director Zhang Xiazhu comprehensively introduced Airbus' corporate culture and development strategy; Ms. Tong Mengyao focused on Airbus' values and talent development philosophy. The students of the practice group felt Airbus's leading aviation technology and open and inclusive innovation ecosystem, and had a clear understanding of Airbus' career development path.

Both Airbus China and the École des École des Études Excellence Paris have deep ties with France. Deputy Secretary Yao Xue and the person in charge of the company exchanged the training model of the Paris Institute of Excellence Engineers, and discussed the joint construction of talents and school-enterprise cooperation.

AVIC International Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "AVIC Complete") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Aviation Technology International Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "AVIC International"), mainly engaged in government projects, project general contracting and large-scale complete equipment export, and is one of the main windows, main channels and main forces in the overseas market development of Aviation Industry Corporation of China and AVIC International.

On the morning of the 5th, the practice group went to AVIC to carry out the practice. Du Juan, Deputy General Manager and Chief Compliance Officer of AVIC Complete Company, Shi Yue, Deputy Manager of the Vocational Education Department, and Yang Guanchen, Deputy Manager of the Comprehensive Management Department, brought an exchange activity with the theme of vocational education to the practice group.

Deputy General Manager Du Juan extended a warm welcome to the arrival of the practice group and introduced the development history and current business layout of AVIC. She emphasized the importance that AVIC attaches to talent training, and pointed out that the development of employees is the key to the success of the enterprise.

Deputy Manager Shi Yue introduced the company's vocational education system in detail.
