In 2012, at the beginning of the college, Mr. Lu Jialiang was transferred to the college as the first Chinese teacher of the college and embarked on the road of the establishment of the college. He has taught in the mathematics teaching group and information engineering of the college, and has taught and participated in the construction of more than 20 courses. For each class, he maintains his usual rigor and seriousness. In the early days of the establishment of the college, there were only two Chinese and French teachers in the mathematics group, and the France mathematics teaching system has its own uniqueness, so he participated in the whole process every time the France teacher taught, sat with the students, quickly absorbed the characteristics of France mathematics teaching, and on this basis, repeatedly polished his own courses, laying a solid foundation for the start of the college. As a result, he has formed a deep friendship with his classmates as "teachers and friends".

Mr. Lu Jialiang has 9 years of experience in France and school-enterprise joint training, he has developed a fluent French and a deep understanding of the France education system and France culture. Thanks to his excellent cross-cultural communication skills, Mr. Lu Jialiang gave full play to the role of a bridge between China and France, combined with the actual situation of Chinese students, absorbed the training program of France engineers, and built an excellent engineer training program that integrates the bachelor's and master's degrees, so that the training program of the college not only retains the essence of France engineer training, but also keeps up with the cutting-edge changes in the field.

For example, in the training of graduate students, Mr. Lu Jialiang realized the importance of the frontier of the field and the close integration with the industry from the experience of school-enterprise joint training, and set up a large module teaching form of cutting-edge courses and interdisciplinary course modules, and worked with other majors to create an open curriculum system and form the independent characteristics of the college. In addition, the pilot enterprise joint training project model provides students with a practical platform and project guidance, which has been piloted for several years and has become a model case.

"Approachable", the students mentioned Mr. Lu Jialiang, and they couldn't do without this word. In addition to the classroom, Lu Jialiang always takes the initiative to care about the situation of his classmates in student activities, science and technology innovation projects, postgraduate training and overseas exchange and study, helping them establish ideals and academic goals, and solve all kinds of difficulties they encounter.

In particular, senior undergraduate students often have a lot of confusion about the choice of major, whether to study or work, the time allocation for study and research abroad, and future career development. Teacher Lu Jialiang always does his best to relieve the anxiety of the students, analyze the situation, and accompany and encourage them to overcome one problem after another. This is also the reason why many alumni regard Mr. Lu as a lifelong teacher and friend, and continue to share their career and life gains with him.

In addition, Mr. Lu Jialiang cultivated students' innovative spirit, academic thinking and scientific research ability through scientific and technological innovation activities and scientific research projects. The student team under his guidance has won the gold medal in the ACM SIG KDD CUP 2020 Machine Learning Track 2 of the International Data Mining Conference and the second prize in the first College Student Collaborative Learning and Cyber Security Competition of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. He won the second prize in the 9th China International "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Higher Education Main Track International Project (Shanghai Division) Special Competition.

Be a leader in engineering teaching innovation

As the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning, Mr. Lu Jialiang always keenly grasps educational trends and promotes teaching research and innovation from students' feedback.

In 2019, Mr. Lu Jialiang realized the importance of an intelligent educational environment to improve teaching efficiency and enhance students' learning engagement in his long-term teaching practice and research. He proposed to the school to accelerate the construction of a smart teaching environment integrating online and offline through the proposal of the school education congress to "focus on education reform and development and promote the construction of smart classrooms as a whole". The proposal was widely recognized and selected as a national outstanding employee representative proposal. At present, the college has built its own cloud experimental platform system and other smart platforms in addition to the school's online course system to facilitate students' in-depth learning and practice.

In order to provide a communication platform for Chinese and foreign teachers to discuss curriculum design, teaching reform, innovation and exploration, Professor Lu Jialiang took the lead in the construction of the teaching development sub-center of the college, and created the "Sino-French Wisdom Education" teaching activity brand with the teaching and teaching team of the college. By participating in the "Sino-French Wisdom Education" brand activity, Chinese and foreign teachers of the college fully communicate and learn from each other, enhance the professional experience and cohesion, and improve the quality of education and teaching of the college, as well as the spillover effect and influence of Sino-French education. In recent years, the young teachers of the college have emerged in various competitions, and have repeatedly achieved good results and gained a lot.

Mr. Lu Jialiang has undertaken a number of school-level and municipal-level education reform projects, and participated in the national new liberal arts teaching reform project. Under his leadership, the teaching team of the college has also formed a good atmosphere of adhering to teaching as the fundamental task, attaching importance to teaching, research and innovation, created a series of first-class construction courses at the municipal and school levels, published the textbook "Sino-French Outstanding Engineer Series", and won the honor of outstanding grassroots organization at the school level.
